A lot happening in July

The squad returns to training this month and will then be heading across the Atlantic for the US Tour... Here are the key dates for your diary

July is here and that means the summer holidays are coming to an end for the players. It's time for them to re-gather and start preparing for the preseason, with an eye on the start of official fixtures in August.

Monday 10 July: Back at work
That's the day that the first players are due to report back for training. But the players that had international fixtures at the end of last season will be given a few extra days holiday to compensate and will be returning when agreed with the coaching staff. As usual, each player will first be taking a routine medical check before getting down to work on the pitch.

US Tour
The idea is to have everyone back in peak condition for the opening game of the US Tour, on July 22 at Levis Stadium, Santa Clara against Juventus.

Then on July 26, the opposition will be Arsenal in Los Angeles, and on July 26 the team will be in Dallas ready to take on Real Madrid.

There will still be one game in American, against AC Milan on August 1, after which it's back to Barcelona to start getting ready for the start of official competiton.
