1x1 of the FC Barcelona internationals

Time to take stock of how the club's different players got on during the games played this last week

This week's international fixtures brought an end to the 2022/23 season for the Barça players. Here's a look at how they all got on for their countries.

Germany (Ter Stegen)

The hosts of Euro 2024 played three friendlies this week. The Barça goalie played no part in the 3-3 draw with Ukraine, with Kevin Trapp doing the duties. But Ter Stegen played in both the others, a 1-0 defeat to Poland and a 2-0 loss to Colombia, results that have raised concern in the German camp.

France (Kounde and Dembelé)

France had two Euro qualifiers this week. They won 3-0 in Gibraltar and then 1-0 at home to Greece, and are top of Group B with a 100 percent record from the first four outings.

Jules Kounde sat out the Gibraltar match but featured for all 90 minutes against Greece.

Ousmane Dembelé came on as second half substitute in both encounters, and both times in the place of Coman.

Denmark (Christensen)

The Danes also had European qualifiers. They beat Northern Ireland 1-0 and drew 1-1 in Slovenia, and are currently third in Group H. Christensen played the full game on both occasions.

Ivory Coast (Kessie)

Kessie featured throughout in a 3-0 defeat to Zambia, meaning the Ivorians have dropped to second in their African Cup of Nations qualifying group.

Poland (Lewandowski)

After an impressive 1-0 win in Germany, Poland then slumped to an unexpected 3-2 defeat in Moldova. Robert Lewandowski scored in that match, but his side will need to improve a lot if they are to go to Euro 2024. They are down to fourth in Group E.

Spain (Gavi, Jordi Alba and Ansu Fati)

Spain won the third edition of the UEFA Nations League! An 88th minute winner against Italy earned passage to the final, where they beat Croatia on penalties after extra time had failed to break the 0-0 deadlock.

Gavi played both games, being replaced in the second halves of the two, by Canales in the semifinal and Dani Olmo in the final.

It was the opposite for Ansu, who came on as a substitute both times, replacing Yeremi Pino in each game.

Jordi Alba, meanwhile, played all 90 minutes of both games, and also the 30 minutes of extra time in the final.

Netherlands (Frenkie De Jong)

De Jong's side was hosting the Final Four, but they lost 4-2 to Croatia and ended up playing Italy for bronze. They lost that game too, 3-2.

Frenkie is a firm fixture in Ronald Koeman's selections and played every minute of both games.
