FC Barcelona will face Real Sociedad in the quarter finals of this season's Copa del Rey at Spotify Camp Nou.
Following the wins over Intercity in the last 32 and over Ceuta in the last 16, Xavi Hernández's team now face Real Sociedad in the quarter finals of the competition following the draw which took place on Friday at the headquarters of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF). The game will be played on Wednesday 25 January at 9pm CET.
It's the first time since 2016/17 that the two sides have met in the cup. That was also a quarter final, but over two legs. Then coached by Luis Enrique, Barça won 1-0 at Anoeta and then cruised to a 5-2 win at home. With Xavi Hernández among the players, Barça and Real Sociedad also met in 2013/14, this time in the semi-finals, and Barça also won, 3-1 on aggregate.
The rest of the quarter finals:
Real Madrid v Atlético Madrid
Osasuna v Sevilla
Valencia v Athletic Club
