The 2022 World Cup in Qatar is fast approaching and many Barça players are likely to feature. The current holders, France, have just released their squad list for the World Cup, which begins on 20 November. Two of the Club's players are included, namely Jules Kounde and Ousmane Dembélé.
Kounde's first World Cup
After playing one game at Euro 2021, Jules Kounde is set to play for his national side at a second major tournament. The centre back made his debut for France in a friendly against Wales on 2 June 2021, and has 12 caps to date.
Ousmane Dembélé, however, already knows what it means to play at a World Cup... and win! He was part of the triumphant squad in 2018, where he played in four games. He also featured at Euro 2021, playing twice before succumbing to injury against Hungary. The winger made his debut for France in a friendly against Italy on 1 September 2016, and has played 28 games for the French national side to date, scoring four goals.
Didier Deschamps' list of 25 players also includes former Barça man, Antoine Griezmann.
The current world champions are in group D and will face Australia in the first match on 22 November, before coming up against Denmark (26 November) and Tunisia (30 November).
