The week ahead in the run up to the Joan Gamper Trophy
A new week of preseason preparations awaits Barça now the tour of the USA has come to an end. The Ciutat Esportiva will provide the base for a week of training sessions with a special date on the horizon - the Joan Gamper Trophy - FC Barcelona's traditional annual celebration on Sunday 7 August.
The Spotify Camp Nou is set to host a unique evening that will appeal to every culer. The Barça squad for the upcoming 2022/23 season will be presented and the new signings may make their home debuts in the game against Club Universidad Nacional from Mexico - commonly known as Pumas.
Barça fans will no doubt want to see some of their new idols in the flesh. The latest signing Kounde has already trained at the Ciutat Esportiva since his transfer was confirmed and will be hoping to debut against the Mexican outfit.
Let's not forget that this 57th edition may also see the Robert Lewandowski take the field for the first time in the Spotify Camp Nou. The Polish marksman, Kessie, Raphinha and Christensen all got minutes on the USA tour, but they are potentially in line to make their home debuts on Sunday 7 August.
