Gavi becomes youngest ever goalscorer for Spanish national side
A new record for Barça midfielder Gavi. Playing for the Spanish national side the teenager became the youngest player ever to score for Spain with his effort in the 2-2 draw against the Czech Repubic.
At the age of 17 years and 304 days Gavi broke the record set in 2020 by his Barça team mates Ansu Fati who found the net for Spain at the age of 17 years and 311 days.
Four Barça players involved
The Barça midfielder scored the first goal for Spain the draw in Prague in the UEFA Nations League group game. The strike was the equaliser for Luis Enrique's team after Pesek had put the Czech Republic ahead.
Gavi and Eric Garcia played all 90 minutes of the contest in the Czech capital with Ferran Torres playing the second half and Sergio Busquets the final half an hour.
In the second half Kutcha put the Czech ahead once again before Iñigo Martínez made it 2-2 in the 90th minute of the contest.
Gavi sets another record
The teenage midfielder is used to setting records with the Spanish national side. In October of last year he becomes the youngest player ever to play for Spain at 17 years and 62 days, beating the record set by Ángel Zubieta back in 1936.
