Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a born goalscorer and he proved that again on Tuesday with two goals in Barça's 3-1 win over Celta at Camp Nou that moves them ever close to second placed finish this season in La Liga.
The double against the Galicians means his total this season for Barça is 13: 11 in La Liga and two in the UEFA Europa League, making him joint top scorer at the Club alongside his team mate Memphis.
Record form
Aubameyang's form since joining Barça in the winter transfer market has been exceptional. His 11 goals in 15 league games means he is the third quickest player to reach the total in the league with only Samuel Eto'o in 14 games and Zlatan Ibrahimovic in 13 games quicker than the Gabon international.
His 11 goals in the league in 974 minutes of playing time give him an excellent average of a goal every 89 minutes.
January record
His two goals against Celta also mean that Aubameyang is now the most productive striker in La Liga history to have arrived in January, surpassing the 10 goals scored by Diego Costa for Rayo Vallecano in 2012.
Aubameyang's goalscoring form should come as no surprise as he has always found the net wherever he has played. He has now scored 299 goals in his professional club career: Dijon (8), Lille (2), Monaco (2), Saint-Étienne (41), Borussia Dortmund (141), Arsenal (92) and Barça (13).
