Barça’s brilliant 1-0 victory in Mallorca not only means a tremendous boost to the team’s league position, but also brought first ever appearances for both Álvaro Sanz and Estanis Pedrola.
Sanz came on for the last 20 minutes as a replacement for Nico González, joining Riqui Puig and Frenkie se Jong in midfield.
Born in 2001 in Zaragoza, the 21-year-old joined the club in 2015 and is currently the fourth captain of Barça B.
Pedrola came on for the last ten minutes as a sub for Ilias Akhomach, seeing out the victory on the right wing.
Born in 2003 in Cambrils, on the Catalan coast, the 18-year-old was a youth footballer with Espanyol and Reus. He joined the Barça U19 team in 2021, but in November got to play his first game for Barça B and little more than a month later has made his first team debut!
He’s the fourth teenager to make his senior debut this season, following Gavi, Balde and Ilias
