This Thursday, FC Barcelona has made medical announcements regarding both Jordi Alba and Memphis Depay.
Jordi Alba is having trouble with his right hamstring and will be unavailable until he recovers. He was replaced by Oscar Mingueza in the 31st minutes of the 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the Dutch striker has injured the biceps femoris in his left hamstring and is out of action until he recovers. Memphis started the game and played all 90 minutes, but was clearly having fitness issues at the end.
Alba has played 16 games this season, 11 in la Liga and five in the Champions League, giving no fewer than five assists. Memphis has played 20 games, always as a starter, scoring eight goals, all in the domestic championship.
Sergi Roberto operated successfully
Sergi Roberto successfully underwent an operation this Thursday on the rectus femoris muscle in his right thigh.
Surgery was performed by Doctor Lasse Lempainen, under supervision of the FC Barcelona Medical Services in Turku (Finland). The player will remain out of action until he has fully recovered.
Although he has missed games through injury, Sergi Roberto has appeared in nine Liga matches and three in the Champions League this season.
He also scored goals against Real Sociedad, on the opening day of the domestic season, and against Getafe two games later, both of which were victories at Camp Nou.
