De Jong latched on to a Sergiño Dest pass to beat Levante keeper Aitor Fernández low to his right. The goal ended a run of more than six months without scoring for the Dutchman who had last found the net as a Sevilla player against Elche back in March of this year.
It was fourth for De Jong in a Barça shirt since his move from Sevilla in the summer and after trying without success against Bayern, Granada and Cádiz the tall striker finally gained his reward against Levante.
