Napoli, Barça's rival in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16, lost this Wednesday against Parma (2-1) in the Ennio Tardini, and couldn't extend their five-game unbeaten streak - three wins and two draws - in Serie A.
All three goals in the match were scored from the penalty spot. Caprari put the locals ahead just before the break (1-0, min 45), but Insigne drew Napoli level (1-1, min 53). Kulusevski scored the winner against a side who were without goalkeeper David Ospina, with muscular fatigue, Dries Mertens and Arkadiusz Milik who was suspended.
The result leaves Napoli in seventh, with 56 points. With three games to go, Gatusso's team have already qualified for the Europa League, after being proclaimed champion of the Italian Cup. Sassuolo, Inter and Lazio now lie in wait for Napoli as they prepare to face Barça.
