Josep Maria Bartomeu traveled to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this Saturday morning together with the CEO of FC Barcelona, Òscar Grau. The president wanted to check on the health of staff and players, and to understand how the first couple of weeks back in training have gone. He has also spoke about on the start of competition, both in the league and the Champions League.
Bartomeu and Grau watched first-team training and, once finished, they talked with the two groups of players separately. This was the last session of the week, since the team has a day off on Sunday.
It was the president's first visit to the Ciutat Esportiva since March 13, the last day before confinement and when the team suspended all activity. He also visited the basketball training session and spoke to the coach, Svetislav Pesic, in addition to greeting different players.
FC Barcelona haven't played a game since March 7, beating Real Sociedad 1-0 at the Camp Nou. The squad resumed training on an individual basis on May 8 and, since May 18, the first team has worked in groups of 10 players.
