Barça LaLiga's top goalscorers

Even though they have played one game fewer than all but one of their rivals (with the rescheduling of El Clásico), Barça are the team with the most goals scored in LaLiga with 33, followed by Villarreal (26) and Real Madrid (25).

Benzema and Messi the league's top marksmen

Karim Benzema tops the scoring chart with 9 goals from 11 games, but Leo Messi is hot on his heels with 8 goals from 7games. The pair also have the most shots on target so far this term: Benzema with 20 and Messi 17.

Possession in Barça's favour

Barça are the side to enjoy the most possession in their league games, with an average of 64.34%. Real Madrid (57.78%) and Real Sociedad (57.32%) are closest to matching them.

Messi and Carvajal set up their teammates

An 8-way tie for top assist provider in LaLiga includes Leo Messi and Dani Carvajal, both on 4. Messi's stats are particularly impressive when considering that he has only featured in 7 matches so far. Other players to set up 4 goals are Orellana, Oyarzabal, Rodrigo, Cazorla, Capa, Banega and Carvajal.

14 different scorers

Barça are the LaLiga side with the most unique goalscorers. Messi, Suárez, Griezmann, Vidal, Arhur, Ansu Fati, De Jong, Junior, Carles Pérez, Dembélé, Piqué, Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba and Lenglet have all found the net in the opening stages of the season. With 14 players on target, they are 1 ahead of Madrid's 13.

Real Madrid the side with most shots on goal

Real Madrid have a total of 202 shots on goal this season, whilst Barça are 13th with 143. The Blaugrana's effectiveness is illustrated by their 33 goals scored.

Moving the ball

Barça have made the most passes of any side in LaLiga, some 7,862. Their completion rate is 6896, whilst Madrid have a completion rate of 5696 from 6539.

Madrid's disciplinary record

Zinedine Zidane's side have received 20 yellow cards, fewer than any other team in the league. Barça have been on the receiving end of 30 bookings, but are the side with the second fewest fouls committed (140, with Levante on 133).

Piqué the king of the pass

Although he is not the player with the most passes attempted (he is third, with 796) Gerard Piqué is the LaLiga player to have completed the most, with 714. Lenglet is fourth (680) and De Jong seventh (644). Real Madrid also have two players in the Top 10:  Sergio Ramos (5th) and Toni Kroos (8th).
