The 26 players called upon by FC Barcelona to travel to Japan
FC Barcelona are heading to Japan. Before leaving, however, the first team players available, and eight from Barça B, undertook a final training session on Pitch 2 of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
After finishing training, Ernesto Valverde made the list of players summoned for the 2019 Rakuten Cup to be played in Japan public. The squad is made up of the 17 players available from the first team and nine Barça B players: Ter Stegen, Neto, Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Sergio, Todibo, O.Dembélé, Rafinha, Malcom, Lenglet, Griezmann, Jordi Alba, Aleñá, S.Roberto, F. De Jong, Umtiti, Iñaki Peña, Guillem, Araujo, O.Busquets, Monchu, Collado, Riqui Puig, Hiroki Abe and C.Pérez.
These are the players that will be available to play the first two games of pre-season, on Tuesday 23 against Chelsea in Tokyo and Saturday 27 against Vissel Kobe in Kobe. Two games full of emotion as Barça face ex-squad members Pedro Rodríguez (Chelsea), Andrés Iniesta, David Villa and Sergi Samper (Vissel Kobe).
