Víctor Valdés, Jordi Alba, Andrés Iniesta, Cesc Fàbregas and Cristian Tello have been named in the Spain squad to face Ecuador in a full international friendly on 14th August. For Tello, it’s the first time that he has been included in the senior international squad managed by Vicente del Bosque.
The match will be played in Guayaquil four days before Barça’s opening league match of the new campaign against Levante in the Camp Nou (Sunday 18th , kick-off 7 pm).
More internationals
Apart from these five Spanish internationals, a number of other Barça players will also be away on international duty on 14th August. Alexis Sánchez will join the Chile squad to face Iraq in Denmark, Messi and Mascherano will travel to Italy with Argentina while Alves and Neymar will form part of the Brazil squad in Switzerland.
