The Spanish Super Cup 14 and 17 August against Athletic

The Spanish Football Federation’s annual General Assembly has taken place at their headquarters in Las Rozas and the dates for the Spanish Super Cup, 14 and 17 August have been approved.

The final will take place between Barça, current league and Copa del Rey champions, and Athletic Club, runners-up in last season’s Cup final. The first leg will take place on Friday 14 August at San Mamés and the return will be played on Monday 17 August at Camp Nou.

These two games will be the prelude to the first league game of the season which will see Luis Enrique and Ernesto Valverde’s sides meet again. This third meeting in less than two weeks will be played on 22/23 August in San Mamés.
