Following the 2-0 defeat at Atlético Madrid on Wednesday, and subsequent exit from the Champions League (3-2 aggregate), Luis Enrique suffered his first knockout from a cup competition as Barça boss.
Until then, the Asturian had a perfect record, taking Barça through to the next round of cup tournaments on 13 occasions.
The majority of these have been in the Copa del Rey, where FC Barcelona remain unbeaten under Luis Enrique in eight two-legged ties.
In the Champions League last season, the team saw off Manchester City, PSG and Bayern Munich over two legs to reach the final in Berlin. This season, Barça comfortably dealt with the threat of Arsenal in the Round of 16 but fell to Atlético in the quarters.
The other knockout tie came against Chinese outfit Guangzhou Evergrande in the Club World Cup where the Catalans won the one-legged tie 3-0 in Yokohama.
