Òscar López not to continue as U19A coach

Òscar López will not be staying on as coach of the U19A team next season. 

FC Barcelona wishes to publicly express its gratitude to López for his professionalism and dedication in his time at the club, where he has made a successful contribution to the development of young players and wishes him all the very best with his professional and personal future.

Six seasons

Òscar López started his coaching work at FC Barcelona in 2018/19 as assistant coach of the U19A team, serving under Denis Silva. In 2019/20, he was assistant coach of the U19B team under Franc Artiga, but midway through the season became head coach of U19A. 

He stayed in the job for the next three seasons, winning the double of the Division de Honor and Copa de Campions in 2021/22, and retained the league this season just ended, all the time ensuring that his players respected the famous Barça playing style.
