Striker who loved scoring goals, Soriano came to Barça in 2009 to sign for the B team which at the time was coached by Luis Enrique Martínez. After shining with the second team, he made his debut for the first team in a Copa del Rey against Cultural Leonesa. Following three seasons with Barça, the striker left for RB Salzburg before finally retiring in 2021.
Jonathan Soriano came to Barça in 2009 from Albacete to bolster the B team squad who were in need of a goalscorer. Goals were what the striker brought to the team, notching up 59 goals in 84 matches and Soriano was 'pitxixi' in the Second Division in 2010/11 when Luis Enrique's team finished in third place in the table. After three seasons with Barça B the forward moved on to RB Salzburg in Austria where he spent five seasons as a key member of the team. A spell in China with BJ Goan followed as well as in Saudi Arabia with Al-Hillal before he returned to Catalonia to sign for Girona, then in the Second Division. Soriano ended his career with Castellón in 2021 at the age of 36.
