Right winger who had some top performances at Barça. An excellent dribbler, good reader of the game and owner of a fine goalscoring instinct, as well as a tirelessly speedy battler, he was originally a full back, where he’d also posted some fine performances. He came to Barça in 1990 from Real Sociedad and was one of the most important components of the Dream Team under Johan Cruyff. After four seasons he packed his bags for Bilbao and eventually said farewell to football in 1999 in his hometown of Pamplona, playing for Osasuna.

Two great seasons in San Sebastian earned his passport for Barcelona. At Barça he was here for the most glorious years of the Dream Team. Wearing blaugrana he won la Liga every year and lifted the club’s first European Cup in 1992. “Goiko” came on in the 65th minute of the final as a substitute for Julio Salinas.
