Barça B succumbed to 1-0 defeat in their first game at the Miniestadi in Division 2B.
SD Ejea may not have dominated the play in any shape or form, but took their chance and made off with the three points, much to the dismay of club CEO del Club Òscar Grau, director of sporting relations Guillermo Amor and technical secretary Èric Abidal, who were among the onlookers on Saturday evening.
Despite a bright start from FCB, the Aragonese outfit improved as the first half progressed, before another spell of blaugrana domination towards the break, with Riqui Puig coming particularly close.
The visitors’ goal came when a stray ball following a set piece fell right into the path of Català, who merely had to stroke the ball home to put his side in charge.
Barça pushed and pushed in search of at least an equaliser, but this what a day for the forwards and after two games, the reserves are still looking for their first point.
