Barça Atlètic 2-3 CD Arenteiro: Tough home defeat

A 2-3 defeat at the Estadi Johan Cruyff for Barça Atlètic after they conceded a late goal to CD Arenteiro, despite having twice redressed the balance through Sergi Domínguez and Godoy. The loss sees the blaugranes in the Primera Federación drop zone on 25 points.

One apiece at half-time

The game began somewhat stodgily, but chances and goals were on the way. Barça Atlètic's Toni Fernández and Landry were threatening in attack without reaping the reward. Arenteiro struck first through Pascu, but the blaugranes responded well. In almost the next play, Sergi Domínguez made the most of a Dacosta free kick and the sides went into the break level (1-1). 

Woodwork and more goals

The response was cut short by Baselga after the restart, who put the visitors ahead. Luck seemed to be against the blaugranes as they hit the bar twice in three minutes. The equaliser was coming though, and Godoy scored his first for team to level up the match.

Pascu tips the balance

Both Barça Atlètic and Arenteiro looked for the win, but Yaakobishvili and Diego García stood firm. The pace then dropped somewhat and the chance to win seemed to have gone. A draw was then snatched away as the game came to a close, with Pascu scoring the winner.
