Barça B have won at Castellon in dramatic fashion, with two goals right at the end turning things around completely in a game where defeat was looming.
It was an exciting end to a game that was not the most gripping for the most part, with very few major chances at all in the first half, and Alcaina eventually converting for the home side with one of their first clear-cut attacks, with an unfortunate deflection off Araujo helping the ball goalward.
Barça B started pressing with increased intensity, with Kike Saverio particularly active in search of an equaliser, and they refused to let frustration set in even when there were just six minutes to go. It was then that Araujo looked to have salvaged a point with a majestic header, but there was even better to come.
Marqués passed to Saverio, the striker went down, the referee gave the penalty and Monchu popped it in the net. In extraordinary fashion, three very important points were claimed that have done wonders for the reserve team’s position in the upper part of the table.
