Well, that wasn't a bad night was it? Four of FC Barcelona's professional teams were in action and they all picked up important wins.
Liga leaders
The men's football team had a rearranged game to play, and despite all the concerns about it coming so close on the tail of the international break, it all worked out to perfection in the end. Goals from Ferran Torres, Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski produced a comfortable 3-0 win that moves them three points clear at the top of the table with ten games to go.
UWCL semi-finalists
Having already won 4-1 in the first leg in Wolfsburg, things were nicely set up for the women footballers in the Champions League. But they still had to finish the job at home, which they did without too much difficulty, defeating the Germans 6-1 to set up a mouth-watering semi-final against Chelsea.
All eyes on the play-off
The basketball team are still by no means guaranteed a place in the endseason of the EuroLeague but playing like they did last night they have nothing to worry about. They bounced back from narrow defeat at home to Bayern to win by ten at Olimpia Milano. Defeat would have been costly, but a win means the Catalans are right back in the mix.
Closing in on the title
The handball team are runaway leaders in the domestic championship, but in-form Ademar León was a tough place to go. But with standout performances from Emil Nielsen and Melvyn Richardson, they got the job done and now need just two more wins to clinch the trophy mathematically.
