New Barça Stores to open in Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Tbilissi

Club to own 15 shops outright with six others operated under licence

As part of the Barcelona Licencing and Merchandising (BLM) business growth strategy, FC Barcelona has decided to open three new stores that will help reach new customers who want to become part of its community. On March 29, the first store outside of Spain will be inaugurated in Tbilisi (Georgia). Just two days later, on April 1, a new store will open in Malaga. And in the first weeks of summer, a further outlet will open at Palma de Mallorca Airport.

The store at Palma Airport will be operated directly by the club and will be its 15th fully owned store. Son Sant Joan is the third busiest airport in Spain, after Madrid and Barcelona. The Malaga store will be located in the port, which has recently been redeveloped into a new commercial and leisure centre, the third largest cruise port in the country. Meanwhile, the Tbilisi store will be located in the historic centre of Georgia’s capital.

Expanding business

Eight of the club-owned stores were opened during the 2022/23 season, including the ones in Canaletes, Passeig de Gràcia, and the Sagrada Família, all of which are strategic areas of Barcelona.

In June 2018, Barça took over direct management by creating BLM with the aim of regaining full control of the brand and the exploitation of its merchandising rights in order to continue its global expansion and advance its retail business growth plan.

Own and licenced stores

The complete list of club-owned stores will now be as follows: Spotify Camp Nou, Canaletes, Passeig de Gràcia, Madrid, T4 Madrid Barajas, Arenas Shopping Centre, Poble Espanyol, Barça Store & Exhibition Sagrada Família, Westfield La Maquinista, Parc Central Tarragona, Terminal 1 (Barcelona Airport), Terminal 2 (Barcelona Airport), La Roca Village, Maremagnum, and the aforementioned Palma de Mallorca Airport.

Barça also has six licenced stores located in Palma de Mallorca, Salou, Platja d’Aro, and Ronda Universitat in Barcelona, as well as the newly announced stores in Tbilisi and Malaga.
