This weekend's Culer Walk cancelled

Event postponed until a later date to be announced due to the heavy rainfall in recent days

FC Barcelona hereby announces that, together with the Federation of Hiking Entities of Catalonia (FEEC) and the Monastery of Montserrat, it has decided to cancel the CULER WALK scheduled for 21 and 22 March 2025, out of concern for the safety of the participants due to the heavy rain that has been falling in recent days. The club will soon be announcing a new date for the event, and participants will receive detailed information regarding their registration.

The Culer Walk was organised in celebration of the bond between FC Barcelona and the Abbey of Montserrat, tying in with the club’s 125th anniversary and the Monastery’s Millennium. Over the past week, the organisers have conducted several inspections along the route, including the most problematic areas such as the crossings at the Rubí and Margaroles streambeds. However, during the most recent inspection yesterday, it was confirmed that the accumulation of rainwater has significantly worsened the conditions, making the route unsafe for walking.

FC Barcelona would like to thank everyone for their enthusiastic response, with around 1,070 participants registered for the two walks (Short and Long). The club also expresses its gratitude to the municipalities of Sant Joan Despí, Molins de Rei, Martorell, Sant Esteve Sesrovires, Esparreguera, Collbató and Monistrold e Montserrat  as well as to the FEEC volunteers, hiking clubs, and the club staff who have worked so hard in recent months to make this happen. Special thanks also go to the club’s sponsors—Nike, Estrella Damm, Bimbo, Prime, Rilastil, and Coca-Cola—as well as to Bon Àrea and Aneto for donating products for the goodie bags.
