The Barça athlete Yulimar Rojas continues to break barriers in the world of track and field as on Sunday in Belgrade, Serbia the Venezuelan triple jumper set a new world record of 15.74 metres. The leap was enough to claim the gold medal at the World Indoor Athletic Championships for a record third time and break her own existing record by 31 centimetres.
Rojas broke the world record outdoors last summer to claim the 2020 Olympic title in Tokyo and now she has extended her own record indoors with the previous best of 15.43m coming in Madrid in 2020. "I am delighted to win my third world indoor title and with a world record as well. I can't describe how I feel," said the South American after yet another outstanding performance in the event.
