On Thursday 27 May is the planned date for the opening of the new Sala Berlín-Camp Nou FC Barcelona vaccination point. The space, that will be open in the morning from Monday to Friday, will be able to administer 2,500 doses of the vaccine weekly and will be open for three weeks. It is planned for their to be four vaccination booths available.
Access for those on foot will be via Access Point 20 on Carrer d’Elisabeth Eidenbenz and by vehicle Access Point 1 on Avinguda de Joan XXIII for those with vaccination appointments.
The vaccination point is coordinated with Hospital Clínic in Barcelona who will provide the nursing staff as well as the CAPSBE and CAP Sarrià clinic who will provide administrative staff to help with registration and patient welfare.
On 23 March the Catalan Health Minister, Alba Vergés, and the FC Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, reached an agreement to open the vaccination point at Camp Nou. In the last few week staff from Health Department and Barça have been working together to find the best venue for the point.
From the start, the Health Department have worked on the idea, not so much to have a mass vaccination point but to have an emblematic venue to raise awareness amongst the public of the need to be vaccinated.
