Michael Robinson passes away

The former player and broadcaster Michael Robinson has passed away this Tuesday at the age of 61. The Leicester born ex-footballer received the XIII International Vázquez Montalbán prize for Sports Journalism awarded by FC Barcelona in December 2017.
Robinson started his career Preston North End before moving on to Manchester City, Brighton, Liverpool, with whom he won the European Cup in 1984, and QPR before ending his career in Spain with Osasuna. At his time with the Pamplona based club he faced FC Barcelona on several occasions, scoring against them in the 1986/87 season. After retiring in 1989 he became a highly regarded football commentator and broadcaster on Spanish television.
