Coviran Granada 86-93 Barça: Another win

The blaugranes win away in Andalusia after managing the game well

A win to follow up the victory against Bologna in the EuroLeague, this time in the Liga Endesa, as Barça defeated Granada 86-93 in a game that was never in jeopardy.

Smooth first half

Barça started positively, but Coviran Granada and the blaugranes both managed to score well in the first two quarters. The difference was the Barça were more efficient throwing threes than the home side. Abrines scored two in a row early on and his side compounded his efforts as the first quarter went on (26-33).

More of the same in the second quarter. Parker scored 11 during the first half and the blaugranes ended up +11 at one point. Granada then came back to only two points after scoring nine without reply (43-45), but back came Barça to go in nine points up at the break (44-53).

Job done

The blaugranes maintained the lead in the third quarter, with both Punter and Parker showing their class to help the team to a 12 point lead with a quarter to go.

Granada grafted, but such was the visitors' control that they couldn't do any real damage. A three pointer by Punter – who top scored with 21 – took the score to 90 points and a +16 lead for Barça. Parker wasn't far behind either, scoring 18 in the game himself.

All in all a very solid and comfortable 86-93 win for Barça. Next up, a home match against Gran Canaria (20 April, 6:30pm CEST).
