In a tightly contested game at the Buesa Arena, Baskonia edged out Barça in the final moments. Despite holding a +12 lead and controlling the scoreboard for most of the first half, Barça suffered a narrow defeat. With just three seconds remaining, the home team delivered the final blow, handing FC Barcelona their second consecutive loss in Europe.
Satoransky was the standout name for Barça as they gradually edged ahead, and then a 12-0 spree sent them flying into the lead. But that lead vanished in the blink of an eye, and by half-time things were practically level again.
The second half was largely a back-and-forth battle, with the scoreboard swinging like an accordion, and every basket was going to be crucial in the final quarter. Neither team managed to pull away, despite fine efforts from Juan Núñez to reverse the trend, but nothing would budge, and two strong defensive plays allowed Barça to tie the game with just three seconds left.
As the match seemed destined for overtime, Forrest delivered the final blow. A heartbreaking loss for Barça, who now turn their attention to Baxi Manresa in the league on Sunday at 5pm CET
