Darío Brizuela has joined Barça until 30 June 2026, and after Parra and Hernangómez is the third new addition to Roger Grimau's basketball roster.
He comes with the experience of 256 games in the AB, averaging 19 minutes, 9.8 points and 1.9 assists. He is remarkably quick and his favourite position is shooting guard.
The 28 year old, 1.88 metres tall learned the game at CB Easo in San Sebastian, and in 2011 joined the youth ranks at Estudiantes. After over eight years there, and following a slow start including a spell on loan to Huesca, from 2015 he won a regular place in the first team.
His performances drew the attention of Unicaja Malaga, and under coach Ibon Navarro he enjoyed his first major successes. Just last season, the side reached the semifinals of the Liiga Endesa, losing to Barça, the final of the Champions FIBA, losing to Turk Telekom, and winning the Copa del Rey in Badalona.
