FC Barcelona’s first team and women’s team posed together Friday for the 2017/18 season’s official picture, which included all the members of both teams, their coaching staffs, and Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu. The photo was taken on Tito Vilanova Field at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, Barça’s training center, located in Sant Joan Despí. The joint photo is a symbol of the Club’s commitment to both men’s and women’s sports.
This season’s photo comes as the women’s team gets ready to face Santa Teresa in the league and ahead of its first game in the Champions League this season. The women’s team is off to a perfect start in the league this season, having won all three of its games so far.
The first team, which also took its official team photo for the 2017/18 season, is off to a hot start as well, having won seven of seven in La Liga and both Champions League matches played thus far, including a 1-0 win at Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday night.
Following the photo session, the team continued preparing for this weekend’s La Liga clash with Las Palmas, which is set for 4.15pm CET on Sunday at Camp Nou.
