1928-29: FC Barcelona win the first ever league title, a competition that would soon be seen as the most presitigious of them all.
1944-45: The year of the return of Samitier as coach, the blaugranes claimed the league title after a 15 year drought.
1947-48: FC Barcelona just pipped Valencia to the title to claim the first of two successive league championships.
1948-49: The second in a row came after a great season from striker César who finished top scorer in the league with 28 goals.
1951-52: The famous ‘Barça of the Five Cups’ team included another league title in their all-conquering season
1952-53: FC Barcelona retain the title with some spectacular football, dominating at home and impressing in Europe.
1958-59: This was the first league title celebrated at Camp Nou, two years after the stadium was opened.
1959-60: Eulogio Martínez and Kubala were the stars of a team that won the league once again, a side that also featured Ballon d’Or winner Luis Suárez.
1973-74: The season of Johan Cruyff’s debut, at the time the best player in the world. The team took the title, leaving some memorable moments along the way such as the Dutchman’s goal against Atlético
1984-85: 11 years on Urruti’s famous penalty save handed Terry Venables’ team the league trophy with 4 games of the campaign still to play
1990-91: The first league championship claimed with Johan Cruyff as coach and the first of four successive titles for the ‘Dream Team’.
1991-92: Barça clinch the title on the final day thanks to Tenerife coming from 2-0 down to beat Real Madrid.
1992-93: History repeats as another Real Madrid debacle in Tenerife means Barça again win the championship amid final day drama.
1993-94: And again! This time it’s Deportivo who Barça leapfrog on the final day, but only thanks to Djukic missing a last-minute penalty.
1997-98: Van Gaal leads a Dutch-heavy Barça to the club’s first league and cup double for 39 years.
1998-99: Barça celebrate their centenary with a second consecutive title under Van Gaal.
2004-05: Barça get off to a slow start under new manager Frank Rijkaard, but end up winning the title with two games in hand.
2005-06: With Ronaldinho leading the show, Barça not only win the league but also the club’s second Champions League title in Paris.
2008-09: In his first year in charge, Pep Guardiola leads the club to a first ever treble of domestic double plus Champions League.
2009-10: Real Madrid finish with 96 points, but that’s not enough win an incredible two-horse race that sees Barça take the title with 99!
2010-11: Three Liga titles in three years for Guardiola, including a record 16 consecutive wins, and topped off with another UCL at Wembley.
2012-13: Tito Vilanova leads Barça to the first ever 100-point Liga season, which obviously also means yet another title.
2014-15: The first year for Luís Enrique, and the last for Xavi, brings a repeat of the historic treble.
2015-16: A star-studded Barça clinch the league on the final day as Luis Suárez scores all three in a 3-0 win at Granada.
