Parlem Calafell 2-5 Barça: Untouchable

The Barça roller hockey side remains unbeaten, as David Cáceres' charges have won again in the OK Liga, 2-5 away to Parlem Calafell this time. Nine wins out of nine to remain firmly on top of the league.

Ferran Font, Pablo Álvarez, Sergi Llorca, Ignacio Alabart and Marc Grau scored the goals in front of a Calafell home crowd who constantly urged their side on. Sergi Fernández showed his steel, though, and the three points go to the visitors.

Three goals in just over four minutes

Barça set a fast pace in the first half and that was how they scored their goals. Marc Grau had hit the post (min 5), but Ferran Font got the opener, finishing a dead ball in the area (0-1, min 11). Almost immediately afterwards, Pablo Álvarez finished a Matias Pascual assist (0-2, min 12), before Sergi Llorca diverted a hanging ball from Eloi Cervera to score the third (0-3, min 15).

No further goals by halftime despite more chances for Barça, Calafell showing resistance both before and after the break, much to the home crowd's delight.

Calafell don't give up

The home side actually cut into the lead through Sergi Folguera (1-3, min 32) and they could have scored a second, but Sergi Fernández saved point blank. However, Ignacio Alabart finished the next play into the top corner, and the lead was three again (1-4, min 34).

Calafell weren't cowed and continued their efforts, Sergi Folguera with the clearest chance from the penalty spot, but it was diverted wide. Carles Domènech did manage to grab a goal with 4:47 still to go (2-4, min 46).

This brought more pressure from the home side, but Sergi Fernández was decisive in goal, especially when diverting a Carles Domènech direct free hit after a tenth foul for the visitors. Calafell then played without a keeper, and Marc Grau punished with the final goal (2-5, min 49).

Not an easy 2-5, but Barça remain untouchable in the OK Liga. Next up, the Champions League away to Reus (28/11), before returning to the Palau to play Barcelos (4/12).
