FC Barcelona hosts the Supervisory Board of Barcelona Global
Yesterday, the commercial offices of FC Barcelona were the setting for the Supervisory Board of Barcelona Global, chaired by Ramon Agenjo, president of the entity. This meeting, which brings together business and social leaders with the aim of promoting Barcelona's Global positioning, highlighted the alignment of interests between FC Barcelona and this organization.
During the event, the Club's institutional vice-president, Elena Fort, presented the Espai Barça project. In his speech, Fort emphasized the transformative dimension of this initiative, both for FC Barcelona and for the city of Barcelona and its surroundings.
"Espai Barça will not only be a space of international reference, also for companies, but it is conceived as a city project that can contribute to attracting investment for Barcelona and Catalonia. With a macro view that extends to a global scale, we have also taken into account its impact at neighborhood level, creating an open space in the city and integrative with the environment”, emphasized Fort before the members of the Council.
The commercial director of FC Barcelona, Sergi Ricart, also participated in the event. Ricart explained the strategic commercial approach of the future Spotify Camp Nou, both in terms of Hospitality and in the agreements with strategic partners, highlighting the stadium's potential as the backbone of the Club's business and social activity.
A meeting in a pioneering space
The commercial offices of FC Barcelona, which serve as a promotion center for the new offer of Barça Hospitality, is consolidating as a meeting point for initiatives that have an impact beyond the sports world.
Espai Barça aims to become a pole of attraction for both the business fabric and Barcelona society. This project, which combines innovation, sustainability and connectivity with its urban environment, is emerging as an example of collaboration between the sports sector, the business fabric and institutions.
Barcelona Global's 2024-2026 Action Plan
In addition to Ramon Agenjo, the event was attended by Mercè Conesa, CEO of Barcelona Global, who presented the details of the 2024-2026 Action Plan. This plan is based on four fundamental pillars: impact talent, reference city, investment attraction and engagement.
Among the most prominent projects of this plan is the Scale Up Monitor, a tool to monitor and promote the scalability of local companies; the preparation of a Regional Digital Twin, which allows planning the city with advanced digital tools; the promotion of affordable housing, with the aim of making Barcelona an accessible city for international and local talent; and the promotion of competitive taxation, which facilitates the attraction of investment and business development.
