There are few things as frustrating in football as hitting the ball onto the post or crossbar and knowing that you have just missed out on scoring by a fraction of a metre. That's happened to FC Barcelona more than their fair share of time this season, no fewer than 16 times in 30 games, the same as the equally unfortunate Athletic Club.
Real Madrid and Sevilla are just behind with 15 cases, while Real Sociedad have 14. In contrast, Cádiz have only hit the woodwork four times all season.
Joao Félix and Lamine Yamal are the Barça players who have hit the woodwork the most times this season, and are also among the Top 5 for the whole championship.
Iñaki Williams tops the ranking with 5 posts in 27 games. Joao Félix has 4 in 23 and his followed by Brais Méndez with 3 in 27, Lamine Yamal with 4 in 29 and Larsen with 4 in 30 games.
