Final training session before first LaLiga game of the new season

Every available first team player trains on the Tito Vilanova pitch with just over a day until the match away to Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium

Barça aim to start the 2023/24 LaLiga season in the best possible shape to defend their league title. The first step comes in the form of a complicated away trip to Getafe and the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez stadium (kick-off Sunday 9.30pm CEST). Always a tough place to go, the team are again coached by José Bordalás, who prepares his sides really well to make every match a hard fought contest.

Before Sunday's trip to the south of Madrid, every available first team player had a final training session under the watchful eye of Xavi Hernández and his coaching staff on the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, which could be considered to bring the blaugranas' pre-season to an end.

The four friendlies saw three wins (3-0 against Real Madrid, 1-0 against Real Milan and 4-2 against Tottenham Hotspur in the Gamper game) and just one defeat (5-3 against Arsenal in the first game). Now the games have three points at stake and Barça will want to return home with the game won and those valuable points in the bank.
