Gemma Font extends contract

Agreement reached between Gemma Font and FC Barcelona to extend the Catalan keeper's contract for another season to June 30, 2025. Barça's number 25 has spent five seasons at the Club so far, playing 26 games and only conceding 11 goals.

Reliability between the sticks

Catalan player Font made her debut for the Barça first team in the 2018/19 season in a Copa Catalunya game. She also played in the Copa Catalunya in the 2019/20 season, while her Liga F and Champions League debuts came in the 2020/21 season, when she played four Liga F and one Champions League games respectively.

The 2021/22 season saw her play six Liga F games, while her biggest season tally of 11 games came in 2022/23, playing eight in the Liga F, two in the Champions League and one in the Copa de la Reina.

The 2023/24 season has seen her play in the Champions League away to Benfica, and a Copa de la Reina match against Albacete.

Gemma Font has won 16 trophies to date, with two more potentially to come via the Copa de la Reina and the Champions League.
