Everyone in Jeddah is talking about it. FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are meeting on Sunday night in the Spanish Super Cup Final at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, and the many different happenings on the day before the match included the traditional photo session between the rival managers.
Mutual respect
FC Barcelona boss Hansi Flick shared some moments with his Real Madrid counterpart Carlo Ancelotti, each with their respective shirt, and the mood was one of utmost cordiality between a German and an Italian who have nothing but respect for each other.
The Liga Clásico last October was the first time the two had ever come face-to-face, and Flick very much had the upper hand in a 4-0 win. But history, not even recent history, counts for nothing when these two clubs meet, and the 8pm CET kick-off promises to be a thoroughly engrossing contest.
