Flick: 'We were focused'

Hansi Flick's plan for the trip to Barbastro in the Copa del Rey played out to perfection. There were no surprises as his side pulled off a 4-0 win against the fourth tier side to book their place in the last 16 of this year's competition. 

"We were focused, just as we wanted," confessed the coach after the victory before commenting on the return of defender Ronald Araujo. "He's a true leader and we have seen what he can do. It's great to have him back and for him to have played 90 minutes," said Flick of the Uruguayan. 

The return of Ansu Fati and the performance of Frenkie de Jong and Pablo Torre also caught his eye, adding "if they can stay fit then everyone has a chance of playing. On the injured Lamine Yamal, Flick said he should be back for the Spanish Super Cup in midweek whilst Raphinha sat out the Copa del Rey due to a small fitness problem despite having trained all week.
