FC Barcelona and NK Kustosija Zagreb have reached an agreement for the player Mikayil Faye for the next four seasons, until 30 June 2027 with a buy out clause of 400 million euros.
The player has undergone the requisite medical tests at Barcelona Hospital and the FC Barcelona Medical Services at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, visited the Club's facilities and stepped out on to the field at the Estadi Johan Cruyff dressed in a Barça shirt.
As such, all that remains is the official signing of his contract.
Presence for the defence
Born in Sedhiou in Senegal on 14 July 2004, Mikayil Faye started his career with Diambars FC in the Gambian league. His excellent performances led NK Kustosija in the Croatian Second Division to take an interest in him and the Balkan club signed in the winter transfer market. For the Zagreb club he made 13 appearances, 11 as a starter.
A left sided centre back who is quick and can bring the ball out, Faye is a Senegal under 17 international.
