FC Barcelona releases 'The Next Generation' on Barça One, the new series featuring the football team

The FC Barcelona first team are the stars of The Next Generation, the brand new documentary series that premieres this Monday at 9pm CEST exclusively on Barça One, the club's global OTT service that provides the very finest Barça themed content. Fully produced by Barça Studios, it consists of four episodes that follow the team's progress in 2023/24, when the team was consolidated around a group of young and rising stars, most of whom had grown up and learned the game at La Masia.
This fly-on-the-wall look at life in the Barça first team is specifically designed for fans who keep up to date with goings-on at the club via Barça One. It zooms in on the breakthroughs of players like Lamine Yamal and Pau Cubarsí, two 16-year-olds who showcase the amazing talent that comes out of the Barça youth system year after year. The film also takes a close look at the recoveries of Gavi and Alejandro Balde from injury, the story behind Fermín López and the solid friendship developed between Pedri and Ferran Torres.
Barça One, FC Barcelona's free streaming service
As part of its mission to develop cultural and and audiovisual products, FC Barcelona created Barça One, its global and free OTT offering the very finest menu of Barça themed content. The idea is to democratise access to the content generated by the club by making it free worldwide, like never has been done before.
Barça One is part of the club's intention to create a groundbreaking project in the entertainment and broadcasting realm, offering 1,500 hours of video including all of the archives gathered from the Barça TV era, such as matches, shows, reports, historic documentaries and so on. It also streams all of the latest news from the club, as well as Barça Atlètic games, among many other attractions.
