Raul Neto leaves Barça

The Club and the player have reached an agreement to end the latter's contract after the Brazilian's recent injury

Raul Neto is to leave Barça after the Club and the player reached an agreement to end his contract which in theory ran until 30 June 2025. This has come about following the Brazilian international's run of bad luck with injuries. On 27 December in the game against Crvena Zvezda, Neto suffered an injury to his left hamstring which will keep him out for around 3 months.

FC Barcelona would like to highlight Raul Neto's professionalism and his ability to settle in during his time at the Club and wishes him all the best in the future on and off the court. The Club's Medical Staff have also offered their help to the player during his recovery from injury.

Two unfortunate injuries

The Brazilian international became a Barça player on 24 November to cover the absence of long term injury victim Nico Laprovittola. Neto made his debut just a few days later in the Euroleague against Real Madrid, playing just over three minutes and scoring five points. A groin injury then kept him out for a month before he made his comeback against Crvena Zvezda only to pick up a second injury after three minutes on the court.
