Barça rounded off the week with an excellent win at home over Gran Canaria by 87-79 ahead of another busy seven days for Saras Jasikevicius' team. Now thoughts will turn to European competition as on Wednesday and Friday in the Palau Blaugrana they face the first two games of the Euroleageu play off tie against Zalgiris Kaunas

Blaugrana dominance

Barça took control of the contest in the early minutes. A three pointer from Laprovittola gave them a seven point advantage at 17-10 before leading 21-14 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second the blaugranes reached a 10 points advantage with a three pointer from Sanli. A Gran Canaria coached by former Barça man Jaka Lakovic did not throw in the towel but went in at half time 15 points down at 49-34.

Fightback from the visitors not enough
