The blaugranes go down to defeat in Europe against an inspired Portuguese side

Defeat in the Dragao Arena as Barça go down to a 6-2 defeat against Porto in Portugal in the Champions League. David Cáceres' team had plenty of chances in the game but the home side's clinical finishing proved the difference between the two teams. With four points the blaugranes are now in fifth place in group A of the competition. 

Barça conceded twice in the first half with former blaugrana Hélder Nunes giving Porto the lead before Gonçalo Alves made it two on 22 minutes. A goal from a penalty for Xavi Barroso dragged the blaugranes back into the game before half time.

Caceres' team started brightly in the second half, but there were goals after missed chances for Barça, Di Benedetto made it 3-1 to the home side to set them on the road to victory. Gonçalo Alves made it 4-1 from the penalty spot, and despite a goal from Barroso to make it 4-2, goals from Mena and Hélder led Porto to the win with the final score 6-2 in Portugal.
