FC Barcelona will not be alone in Lisbon on Tuesday. They are being joined by around 2,000 supporters, 800 of whom are club members, while the 'peñas' have processed the huge number of 1,438 requests for seats in the Stadium of Light.
Given the geographical proximity, its the supporters from Extremadura who are the most numerous this time. More than 550 people will be travelling from Badajoz and Cáceres. Other regions of Spain that are sending large contingents include Castilla y León with around 140 and Andalusia with 130.
Portugal is quite a trip from other parts of Europe, but 350 fans are making the journey regardless, particularly from Poland, where the club has enjoyed a huge travelling fan base for many years.
And of course there are the supporters based in Lisbon itself. Before the game, the Peña Barcelonista de Lisboa is hosting a pre-game meal that is to be attended by FC Barcelona board member Josep-Ignasi Macià.
