Hansi Flick: 'Nothing has changed, we have to keep fighting'

Barça coach happy his side is back on top of La Liga but admits still a long way to go

Following the win against Rayo Vallecano at home in the Estadi Olímpic in La Liga, coach Hansi Flick faced the press with his side top of the table for the first time in almost two months. "We are really happy to pick up the three points in a tough game," confessed the German.

Game by game

The Barça coach continued, "Both the Club and the fans deserve this," before reflecting on his team taking top spot with 14 games still to go in the league: "Nothing has changed, we have to keep fighting to stay here until the end of the season."

Flick was also generous in his praise for opponents Rayo Vallecano. "They are doing a great job, especially pressing, and they have been one of the best teams to come to the Estadi Olímpic this season," said the coach.

The Barça boss also touched on Lamine's performance, "He tries to attack and create chances and I am sure he will have better luck in front of goal soon." The coach also praised Frenkie de Jong's performance, noting it was the latest in a succession of impressive games from the Dutchman.
