Marc ter Stegen continues recovery

Marc ter Stegen continues recovery

It's a long, arduous process, but Marc-André ter Stegen is valiantly working hard to regain his fitness and get back to defending the FC Barcelona goal. There's still a lot of ground for the German to tread, but his recuperation programme is now involving a lot of time on the field at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

The captain sustained his injury on September 22 away to Villarreal, a complete rupture of the patellar tendon in his right knee. It's a serious injury, but it hasn't stopped the goalkeeper from staying close to the team throughout his recovery.

He even went to Jeddah for the Spanish Super Cup and following the mighty display by his team against Real Madrid, he was given the honour of collecting the trophy.

Araujo joins part of training

The rest of the team took to the Tito Vilanova field on Saturday morning to continue their preparations for the Monday fixture at home to Rayo at the Estadi Olímpic. Ronald Araujo, who had to be substituted during the win at Sevilla last weekend, was able to join in with some of the group exercises.
