The squad to travel to Milan
Leo Messi will travel to Milan with the rest of the first team squad. He will do so without the medical all-clear, but forming part of the list of 22 players called up for Inter - Barça. It’s a match that, in the event of a win, would qualify Barça automatically as group winners.
Messi is the surprise name in a list that also includes Iñaki Peña and Chumi, from Barça B. The rest of the squad is as follows: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, N.Semedo, Piqué, I. Rakitic, Sergio, Denis Suárez, Coutinho, Arthur, Suárez, O.Dembélé, Rafinha, Malcom, Lenglet, Jordi Alba, Munir, Sergi Roberto, Arturo Vidal and Aleñá.
Vermaelen, Samper and Umtiti continue to recover from their respective injuries.
Last session before heading to Milan
After the win against Rayo (2-3), and in a recovery session for the starters at Vallecas, the first-team trained this Sunday on pitch 2 at the Ciutat Esportiva. Iñaki Peña, Monchu and Chumi made up the numbers.
It was the last session before heading to Milan on Monday. Ernesto Valverde and Sergi Roberto will appear at a press conference on Monday afternoon at the Giuseppe Meazza, before the team train on the pitch.
